Two ambulance staff have been disciplined after a car accident victim was wrongly pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The accident happened near Norwich, in Norfolk in December 2008. An ambulance service manager from the East of England Ambulance Service said that the ambulance staff had covered the victim with a tarpaulin. Police attending the scene lifted the tarpaulin and found that 22-year-old Artur Palchimowicz from Diss in Norfolk was still breathing. The two ambulance crew involved were suspended and have since received further training before returning to their posts, according to a BBC report. The car accident victim later died in hospital. © 5r1 Limited Free Medical Negligence Claim AdviceIf you or a loved one has suffered from medical negligence by a doctor, then contact 5r1 Claims.
