| A13 road accident leaves one man dead and two critically injured |

A road accident in Plaistow, East London early on Saturday (24/04/10) morning has claimed the life of one man and left two others critically injured.
Local newspaper the Newham Recorder reports that emergency services called to the A13 Newham Way at around 6.00am on Saturday morning found a BMW car had hit a lamp post. The occupants – three males thought to be in their 20s and 30s – were released by firefighters and one of the men was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident happened near the junction with Prince Regents Lane and no other vehicle is believed to have been involved, said the police.
The two surviving occupants of the car were taken to hospital by ambulance and Scotland Yard said on Saturday that both men were in a critical conditon. There is no further update on the condition of the two survivors of the road crash.
After the accident, the A13 Newham Way was closed eastbound between the junctions with Prince Regents Lane and Woolwich Manor Way.
